Oakland's own Marshawn Lynch was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday and taken to Santa Rita Jail, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Lynch, 26, who plays for the Seattle Seahawks, was arrested after a traffic stop on Interstate 880 in Oakland, according to CHP spokesman Hector Baiza. Lynch was taken to Santa Rita Jail, where he was cited and released, according to Alameda County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Raymond Kelly.

The five-year NFL veteran was cooperative and submitted to a blood test once he was in custody, Baiza said. Lynch's blood-alcohol level was over the .08 limit, Baiza added, though he declined to specify the exact measurement.

Well...well just when you thought you heard it all when it comes to Trayvon Martin's accused killer George Zimmerman. Now, Zimmerman is having to deal with more dirt!

An Orlando woman now in her mid-20s told investigators that George Zimmerman, who is charged with second-degree murder in the killing of Trayvon Martin, molested her repeatedly beginning when she was 6 years old, according to an audio interview released by the special prosecutor on Monday.

The woman, whose parents were close to the Zimmerman family, talked to investigators on March 20. Identified only as Witness 9, she said she had come forward now, a decade after her last encounter with Mr. Zimmerman, 28, because, after his arrest, she was no longer afraid of him.

It is unclear how, or whether, prosecutors plan to use the allegations in their case against Mr. Zimmerman, who is free on $1 million bond. Mark O'Mara, Mr. Zimmerman's lawyer, tried unsuccessfully at the last minute to block the release of the audio tape, which he said was irrelevant and prejudicial. He also sought to block the release of another tape in which the same witness describes Mr. Zimmerman and his family as routinely disparaging black people.

Did Romney know it was coming? Mitt Romney expected and, his critics say, even wanted to be booed at the NAACP convention, as a signal to voters that he's willing to face an audience not likely to agree with him – and not pander.

On Wednesday, he spoke at the NAACP's annual convention in Houston and it seems he was hoping to get booed! Well it looks like his hopes turned into reality.

They say that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee agreed to appear before an African-American audience precisely because he knew he'd get a negative reaction.

He's not likely to receive many black votes in any case, and boos would allow him to look principled in the face of opposition and bolster his image with independents and conservatives. Or so the theory goes.

More sad news on this Monday morning for a family in Detroit. Yolanda McNair wants to know why she is planning a funeral for her daughter Adaisha Miller rather than a birthday celebration today.

"The story keeps changing," McNair said. "There's no logical reason."

Miller, who would have turned 25 today, was fatally shot early Sunday morning while attending a party on Archdale in Detroit. Police reports say she was killed when an off-duty Detroit police officer's pistol fired as she embraced him.

"Instead of giving her a party this week, I'm planning her obituary and funeral," said McNair as she sat on her west-side Detroit front porch Sunday evening with solemn relatives, neighbors and friends.

All over some side orders!

KFC is not liable to a customer who was pistol-whipped by the cashier while mulling which side dishes to get with his chicken special, a federal judge ruled. Edward Harris says he ordered a 10-piece bucket of chicken at a KFC in Philadelphia on Oct. 3, 2007, but had not decided what sides to get along with the biscuits. Another cashier, Michael Henry, then interrupted the order and told Harris to "hurry up," according to Harris' deposition testimony. Harris says he replied, "No, I am not dealing with you," but that the employee who had been taking his order backed away when the altercation became more heated. Henry asked, "Well, do you want the fucking chicken or not," then muttered, "I will kick your ass," according to the deposition. Harris says Henry then took out a gun and held it under the countertop. The customer allegedly reacted by throwing up his hands, saying, "What? You going to shoot me over a bucket of chicken?" As Harris headed for the exit, however, he turned around, and Henry hit him in the face with the gun. Harris says he lost consciousness, broke his wrist, and needed eight stitches in the lip. He sued KFC in September 2009, claiming the restaurant chain negligently hired Henry. Had KFC done a criminal background check on Henry, it would have discovered arrests and convictions for possession of firearms, burglary, robbery and theft, Harris claimed. But U.S. District Judge Lawrence Stengel sided with KFC at summary judgment this week. "KFC would not have been aware of Henry's propensity for violence even if it had a duty to conduct a background check," the decision states.
