A local rapper has surrendered in connection with a shooting death in Vallejo, authorities said Wednesday. Derek Ray Pittman, 27, whose street name is "Baygeen," turned himself in Tuesday and was booked on suspicion of murder in the slaying of Danel Lashawn Stevens, 23, of Vallejo on Fordham Circle, police said.

Stevens was shot shortly before 4:45 p.m. Feb. 14 and died at Sutter Solano Medical Center, said police Lt. Ken Weaver. Pittman has a history of arrests for drugs, theft and identity theft in Oakland, Fairfield, San Jose and Modesto, police said.

Pittman has prior arrests in Oakland, Modesto, Fairfield and San Jose for narcotics, theft and false personation, and he frequents Vallejo's Country Club Crest area, police said.

His Facebook page found under the name "Baygeen" stated that he is based in Vallejo.

LAS VEGAS — A 9-year-old boy arrived at school Monday with a grisly story: His mother and sister were dead at their home four blocks away. Minutes later, police found the bodies of a 10-year-old girl and her mother — along with a blood-covered father and an unharmed 4-year-old boy — in a modest home in a West Las Vegas neighborhood, authorities said. The five people belonged to a single family, police Officer Jacinto Rivera said.

The man, who was hospitalized with a head injury, was not immediately identified as a suspect or charged. Police wouldn't immediately say how or when the slayings occurred, but Rivera said there was no immediate evidence of a break-in at the home or that a suspect was on the loose.

One neighbor, Lucinda Jackson Griffith, said she heard at least one gunshot early Monday. Longtime neighbor, Dick Webb, said he had walked past the home less than 90 minutes before the boy arrived at school. He said he didn't notice anything amiss. Rivera called it too early in the investigation to determine a motive, and said investigators were working carefully to collect evidence inside the single-story stucco home with a motorcycle and two sport utility vehicles in the driveway.

"We get one shot at a homicide scene. Our No. 1 priority is to find out what happened," the police spokesman said. "Right now we don't know what happened."

Great news! An autistic boy's older brother created a new app for the iPad that helps promote functional and social skills. Jonathan Izak designed AutisMate so that users can add their own videos, pictures and voice recordings to create visual scenes, according to a news release.

Jonathan's brother, Oriel, 10, is autistic and struggles with verbal communication.

"The design on the communication apps that were available required too much navigation for those with the language and generalization issues often associated with autism," said Jonathan, who is founder of SpecialNeedsWare.

AutisMate uses GPS so that users can interact with familiar scenes around their own location and use those scenes to communicate. For example, by pressing the star on the sink of a kitchen scene, Oriel can bring up a video that shows him how to wash his hands and plays a message that says, "I wash my hands in the sink."

When the police took the drug dealer in he had $758 in his possession, which of course was confiscated as drug money. Mr. Clark's bail was set at an unknown amount but obviously his EBT card covered the amount, as he was overheard telling someone on his ONE phone call

"get my EBT card and go to the ATM and get the money to bail me out, get me outa here tonight," according to a Boston police report.

JOPPA, Md. (WMAR) - A Harford County woman is behind bars, accused of having sex with a teenage boy in Florida. An investigation between Maryland State Police and the Highlands County, Florida Sheriff's Office has revealed that a 16-year-old male disclosed that he had been involved in a sexual relationship with Lisa Elaine Carroll, 39, of Joppa.

The teen met Carroll while playing an online video fame "War 2 Glory" in late 2011, and their relationship continued via Skype. According to State Police, Carroll was interviewed by the Harford County Child Advocacy Center when she admitted to the relationship with the teen.

As the investigation progressed it was determined that Carroll drove to Florida on two separate occasions, staying at area hotels during her consensual encounters with the teen.

The first trip came in early 2012 and the second in March 2012. Carroll and the teen became engaged to be married in December 2011.
